BEST FRIEND
A girl’s best friend,
More precious than a diamond,
The dog’s friendly smile,
Brightens her day.
With his wagging tail,
And love of life,
The dog’s soul opens the door,
For her to relax and say,
“I feel loved unconditionally,
And supported all the way.”
PICTURE WINDOW
Outside my picture window, life marches on,
It tells a different story, for every season.
In the fall, the leaves
turn so yellow and bright,
There’s a sudden chill in the air that I feel at night.
Wintertime, the snow
glistens, in front of city lights,
And there’s icicles hanging – what a beautiful sight!
While in the spring, the
red robins appear with their young,
Singing all kinds of songs, heretofore unsung. |
